Privacy policy
Effective September 5, 2026. Palus is a personal planning application operated by its sole user, the artist known as Alus ("we", "us"). This policy explains what Palus does with data from TikTok and Instagram.
Who uses Palus
Palus is single-user software. The only person who signs in to TikTok or Instagram through Palus is the owner of the app, connecting her own accounts. Palus does not collect data from any other TikTok or Instagram user.
What we access
When the owner authorizes Palus through TikTok Login Kit, Palus requests the user.info.basic, user.info.profile, user.info.stats and video.list scopes to read her display name, avatar, username, bio, follower/following/likes/video counts, and the titles, thumbnails and public view, like, comment and share counts of her recent videos. Through the Instagram API, Palus reads the equivalent profile insights and media insights for her own professional account. Palus never posts, comments, messages, follows or changes anything on either platform.
How the data is used
The data is displayed inside Palus, on the owner's own computer, to show audience growth and content performance. A daily follower snapshot is kept so growth can be charted over time.
Where the data is stored
Access tokens and the analytics they return are stored only on the owner's Mac, in a file readable only by her user account. Nothing is uploaded to any server we operate; Palus has no server. Data is transmitted only between the owner's computer and TikTok or Instagram over HTTPS.
Sharing
We do not sell, share, or transfer any data to third parties. No analytics, advertising or tracking services are used.
Retention and deletion
Analytics are kept until the owner disconnects an account in Palus, which deletes the tokens and cached data for that platform immediately. Revoking Palus from TikTok's or Instagram's "Apps and websites" settings has the same effect. Deletion requests can also be sent to the contact below.
Contact
Because Palus is single-user software, deletion is done by the owner herself: disconnecting a platform inside Palus, or revoking Palus under TikTok's or Instagram's "Apps and websites" settings, removes all stored tokens and data at once. Questions about this policy can be sent through the developer contact listed on the Palus app entry in the TikTok for Developers portal.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
